NEW!! - We now have a discussion on the fears of flying!

What about Air Rage, I think I am going to get it and start ripping the seats out of the plane!

Just in case you haven't heard of Air Rage (or Disruptive Passenger Syndrome), here is a quick summary to bring you up to date.

This term has recently been introduced to describe psychological or physical violence occurring within aircraft. It is of particular concern because of the cramped conditions inside an aircraft and the inevitable involvement of not only the cabin crew but also other passengers. There have been instances where aircraft have had to land prematurely to offload disruptive passengers and legal action taken against those involved.

So in general, if you are a well rounded individual with all your shit together, you probably won't get air rage. You are safe from getting air rage! Congratulations.

You should also think about the other occupants on the plane. Are THEY well rounded individuals? or are they on crank and moments away from losing the plot - or do they go to anger management classes.

Our advice is to choose (if you can) who you sit next to. Learn some kind of ninja, just in case an air rage victim starts to attack you. You need to be able to defend yourself.

If you don't know ninja... the next best thing to do is board the plane wearing a helmet (with visor), and some mild body armor (it can be purchased over the internet) . This way, you are safe.
